BTG is a young company with innovative ideas and a rich managerial and technological heritage, dating back more than 20 years, successfully build by its managers at companies such as, VARIAN, UNICAM or IZASA, including Unicam Ibérica, S.A. founded in 1.991 and merged with BTG in December 2.000 and Genotek, jointed to our group in September 2003.
Bonsai Technologies Group was founded in 1999 and started its commercial activity with the distribution of high technology instruments under an innovative franchising model that guaranteed the quality standards, service and application support of Bonsai’s partner companies to the local customer base.
In January 2001, Unicam Iberica merged with Bonsai Technologies Group, extending the distribution of Spectrometry instrumentation to the product portfolio.
In September 2003, the company started its activity in the Molecular Biology Market through the acquisition and merge with Genotek .
The subsidiary in Portugal, Bonsai Technologies, LDA started operations in October, 2003.
In order to improve the organization of our resources and be more focused and specialized on our client's needs, in October 1, 2005, we carried out a spin off of Bonsai Technologies Group, SA and set up the company Bonsai Advanced Technologies, SL, dedicated to the distribution and service of Analytical Instrumentation and equipments for Industrial Processes while Bonsai technologies Group SA is dedicated to the Biotechnology and Spectrophotometry Markets.
Nowadays, Bonsai Group's Market presence is backed by a professional team with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon and Porto as well as a wide distributor network.
