Alfredo Biel Castán
PRESIDENT AND C.E.O. OF BONSAI TECHNOLOGIES GROUP SA Alfredo Biel manages BTG as Chief Executive Officer in Spain and Portugal. He is also a Member of the Bonsai Group’s enterprises Board of Directors. Before joining BTG, Mr. Biel developed a successful and extensive career over 20 years of permanent contact with the worldwide leading manufacturers of Analytical Instrumentation and with a deep knowledge of the High Technology capital goods sector as President and CEO of UNICAM IBERICA, President of SARTORIUS SA, General Manager of IZASA, one of the first Spanish Companies in Diagnosis, and CEO of its subsidiaries in Latin-America Mr. Biel received a degree in industrial engineering from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ( ICAI ), where he had also taught for 3 years, and an MBA from the University of Navarra (IESE). He is also a Member of the Bonsai Group’s enterprises Board of Directors. Prior to joining BTG, Mr. Calderón developed a bright professional career during the last 15 years as General Manager of VARIAN MEDICAL SYSTEMS IBERICA, the subsidiary for Spain & Portugal of VARIAN MEDICAL SYSTEMS INC. , the world largest manufacturer of radiotherapy oncology equipments, and Financial Manager and Controller at VARIAN IBERICA and Financial Manager at CHEMICONTROL. Mr. Calderón served as commissioned officer in the Spanish Army. He received a University degree in Economics and Entrepreneurial Sciences at ICADE (E-2). |
